Grandvalira
Andorra's largest resort, with seven sectors
Grandvalira links seven sectors between Encamp and Pas de la Casa: Encamp, Canillo, El Tarter, Soldeu, Peretol, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa. It has runs for every level, three snowparks (El Tarter, Xavi at Grau Roig and the floodlit Sunset Park at Peretol) and a floodlit night-skiing run.
You get up from the villages on the Funicamp in Encamp (a funitel of around 6 km that climbs to Solanelles in about 15 minutes) and the Canillo gondola, or by car to the car parks at El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa. A free Ski Bus links the sectors.
Grandvalira's sectors
| Sector | Lifts | Runs | Access and who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Encamp | 7 | 16 | Funicamp from the village, the closest access to Andorra la Vella and Escaldes. Free municipal car parks with a bus (Funibus) to the Funicamp. |
| Canillo | 9 | 15 | Gondola from the village. According to the resort, ideal for families and beginners; it has Mon(t) Màgic and the Màgic Gliss toboggan. |
| El Tarter | 12 | 21 | Large car parks at the foot of the slopes. Bababoom Circus children's circuit, the Àliga run for advanced skiers and Snowpark El Tarter. |
| Soldeu | 17 | 37 | Covered car parks in the village. Wide runs and demanding descents, such as the Avet, which has hosted World Cup Finals. |
| Peretol | 2 | 2 | The Peretol chairlift, Andorra's longest, and the floodlit Sunset Park. |
| Grau Roig | 15 | 35 | You can ski almost straight from the car park. For every level, with Kids Forest for little ones and plenty of freeride. |
| Pas de la Casa | 11 | 16 | Right by the French border. Every level, a floodlit night-skiing run and the liveliest nightlife. |
Pal Arinsal
Two sectors in La Massana, for every level
Pal Arinsal is in the parish of La Massana and has two sectors, Pal and Arinsal, linked by a cable car. A gondola goes up from the centre of La Massana to Pal, and Arinsal can be reached directly from the village.
It's a resort for every level and its lift pass is cheaper than Grandvalira's. Passes of two days or more are also valid at Ordino Arcalís.
Ordino Arcalís
The freeride benchmark, at the head of the Ordino valley
Ordino Arcalís sits at the head of the Ordino valley, between 1.940–2.625 m above sea level. It is an internationally renowned freeride destination, and it has a beginners' area at Planells and a Kids Forest.
There is no gondola from the village: you drive up by road, and there are free car parks at the foot of the slopes, plus a free bus from the centre of Ordino.
Naturland (La Rabassa)
Cross-country skiing and snowshoes in Sant Julià de Lòria
At La Rabassa, in Sant Julià de Lòria, Naturland has around 15 km of Nordic ski trails for every level, spread over four circuits, plus snowshoe routes. It opens earlier than the alpine resorts.

Getting there and parking
From Andorra la Vella, you reach Grandvalira along the main road towards Encamp, Canillo, Soldeu and Pas de la Casa; Pal Arinsal via La Massana; and Ordino Arcalís via Ordino. All three have bus routes from Andorra la Vella.
